Colorful sails for regatta at Pointe des Régates

The sail boats lined up at Pointe des Régates before the start of the regatta. This competition is usually held annually and attracts a lot of Mauritian and tourists. Pointe des Régates is situated in the famous village of Mahebourg. The bright colors of the sails of all these pirogues make it spectacular view and photographers also gather to immortalize this moment through their shots. The Ragata has been organized proudly by the people of Mahebourg for quite a long time now. The teams on each boat comprise mainly of fishermen. A sport event not to be missed !
