The red-legged orb-weaver spider weave quite strong webs. Large flying animals like bats and birds can get trapped if they are not careful. These spiders can be found in remote places on big trees. Their scientific name is Trichonephila Inaurata and are commonly found in the Mascarene islands i.e. Mauritius, Reunion and Rodrigues. They basically feed on mosquitoes and other small flying insects.
