Sea Hibiscus Flower and Faded Bloom
A close-up photo of what appears to be a sea hibiscus flower, also known as coastal hibiscus or Hibiscus tiliaceus, opening among broad green leaves in Mauritius. The fresh cream-coloured flower, with its deep red centre and bright yellow stamens, contrasts beautifully with the faded brown bloom beside it. It quietly shows two stages of the same tropical flower: one just opening, the other already closing. Isn't it lovely how a single plant can show renewal and fading in the same frame?
