The Famous Paille en Queue

The Paille-en-Queue is a beautiful seabird that serves as one of the most prominent cultural and natural symbols of Mauritius. Known for its elegant flight and striking appearance, it is deeply woven into the island's national identity. However sighting of this bird has significantly decreased over the years. This picture was taken at Gris Gris. They fly fast, so obviously capturing this shot was definitely not a piece of cake, but with patience everything is possible.
