Deux Mamelles mountain near Beau Bois is not to be confused with the Trois Mamelles mountain on the Vacoas Phoenix side. The Deux Mamelles path is relatively short, taking between 1h and 1h30 to complete the round journey, but the variation in level is significant, allowing you to participate in a sporting ballade. Although the summit is 500 meters above sea level, you are already at a significant elevation. Because the trail is not well designated or maintained, you will have to proceed through the shrubbery for the entirety of the course and use caution, as this is still a mountain! Furthermore, the ground might be slick at times. When you get to the top, you'll get a great view of the Moka range, especially the Pieter Both, which is immediately behind you. If you want to make the climb more challenging, descend back down and climb the other side, which will take you to the mountain's second peak. The panorama, on the other hand, will no longer have anything to offer you. This is not the most remarkable trek in Mauritius, but it is pleasant and serves as an excellent appetizer if you choose to continue and hike, for example, up the Calebasses Mountain, which is not far away.
