Zodiacal Light and Milky Way over Rodrigues

Zodiacal Light and Milkyway set over the west coast of Rodrigues island. A patrimony for future generations. It's a fact!: Rodrigues skies are outstandingly clear and dark, one of the best in the World! no doubt. Hundreds if not thousands of kilometers from any major light polluted cities and I hope it stays like this for a long time. The zodiacal light, this quasi-vertical beam of light , almost perpendicular to the Milkyway is made of dust particules, each a piece of the early formation of our solar system, the same dust, rocks, asteroids and comets that formed our same planet Earth and all the existing planets in the solar system. I am voluntarily posting this photo of the rising Milkyway , it was made from only one shot of 30 seconds and look how well defined the core of the Milkyway is! So low over the western horizon , just a few minutes after sunset, a real treasure, definitely part of the Rodrigues patrimony for future generations.
