Pigeon des mares endemic bird of Mauritius. The Pink Pigeon has also almost disappeared in 1990. Only 9 Pink Pigeons were alive ! Without the program led by the wildlife, there would not be any left! Today, the population is estimated between 350 and 400 individuals, all ringed and monitored.
