Long exposure of old sank pirogue. Bain boeuf is a small beach not far from Pereybere. It's not a very touristic place but it has been well renovated recently. Bain Boeuf is located on the northern tip of Mauritius, halfway between the fishing village of Cap Malheureux and the seaside resort of Grand Bay with its stores and restaurants. Bain Boeuf beach is a cove away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist village of Grand Bay. It offers a breathtaking view of the lagoon and also of the island of Coin de Mire which is located offshore. From Bain Boeuf the beaches become small wild creeks interspersed with basalt rocks. Nice sites worth a small detour. In the past, the inhabitants came to bathe their oxen and cows in this sea. The beach is thus named after them. Bain Boeuf is a small, warm and comfortable beach. With white and very fine sand, it is interrupted by small groups of rocks. The sea water is still turquoise blue, very clear and pleasant for swimming and diving. The beach has kept a green part, plants, flowers, trees and grass intersect the sand. Very quiet in nature, it remains less animated and less crowded than the big beaches of the north. Perfect for a day of relaxation. Bain Boeuf is known as a small and peaceful beach. Very welcoming. Favors family picnics. Welcoming fishing enthusiasts during the day and evening. The lagoons are full of boats. Encouraging marine activities such as fishing. But also excursions to Coin de Mire, diving, sailing and many other interesting activities.
