"Le Pouce" are French words which mean "The Thumb" since it looks like a thumb. Among the mountains of Mauritius Le Pouce is the third one highest with a bit more than 810 meters. The hike to the summit is about 4.3kms for a duration of 2 to 3 hours and a half. The view of Le Pouce mountain is spectacular after heavy rains when al the surface is covers with a lush vegetation.
